Andréa Foti has degrees from the University of London, Dalhousie Law School and the University of Guelph. Ms. Foti is the Assistant Registrar & Privacy Officer with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario. As a Senior Executive she reports directly to the Registrar and is responsible for overseeing approximately three-quarters of the College’s staff, including overseeing all regulatory and enforcement programs. Ms. Foti is responsible for the development and implementation of the College’s many Policy, Strategic and Operational initiatives and she is the Senior RCDSO Lead on health information privacy and confidentiality matters. Ms. Foti has a wealth of health regulatory experience, having held many senior positions during her 14 years at the College of Physicians and Surgeons prior to her post with RCDSO. Ms. Foti is a member of numerous law organizations such as the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian and the Ontario Bar Associations, the Canadian Bioethics Society, to name a few. Ms. Foti has been involved in numerous presentations to various agencies and councils such as the Canadian Network of Agencies for Regulation, Council on Licensure, Enforcement and Regulation in Minneapolis, Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto, and the University Health Network.
