Kym Ayscough is Executive Director, Regulatory Operations with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra). She is a lawyer, board member, immediate past President of CLEAR and an enthusiastic conference presenter. Kym brings to her presentations more than 23 years experience in regulation; initially with profession-specific regulators in the legal and pharmacy sectors. She has been with the national, multi-profession health regulator in Australia since its creation in 2010. The Regulatory Operations Directorate of Ahpra, in partnership with 15 regulatory boards, manages the registration, notifications (complaints), monitoring and compliance functions for ~800,000 registered health practitioners across 16 professions. Ahpra’s National Legal Practice also sits within the Directorate.
