Dr. Tammie McParland is an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Nipissing University, and has been engaged in simulation research and in the development of virtual simulation games. She is a founding member of the Ontario Simulation Alliance and CANSim, which is a collaborative of Nurse Educators engaged in simulation in Canada. She collaborated with Touchstone Institute since the beginning of the IENCAP Assessment Program in 2012, in the role of Lead Nurse Examiner; where she was involved in all aspects of the program, from development of the scenarios and multiple exam question development, mapping the relevant competencies, training and assessment day content expert.
